Speereo Software gave prizes to winners of the ‘Star Challenge’ Astro Relay
Speereo Software was honored to supply prizes to winners of the ‘Star Challenge’ Astro Relay.
Paris, 21 of April 2011. As part of the “Space Odyssey” international educational project, the final stage of the Worldwide “Star Challenge” Astro Relay competition took place in Paris, in addition to the award ceremony for the winners. The truly stellar members of the competition’s jury, under the leadership of pilot cosmonaut Georgi Grechko, twice named as Hero of the Soviet Union, assessed the work submitted by the participants. The international jury also included the Head of the Astro Relay Organizing Committee Valentina Tereshkova, Alexandr Serebrov, Sergei Krikalev, French astronaut Jean-Loup Chrétien, and Polish cosmonaut Mirosław Hermaszewski.
It should be noted that, in 2011, the “Star Challenge” Astro Relay attracted a record number of participants: more than 50,000 young people, aged 14 to 18 years, from 88 different countries.

The Worldwide “Star Challenge” Astro Relay was organized by the Federal Agency for CIS Affairs, Compatriots Living Abroad and International Humanitarian Cooperation (ROSSOTRUDNICHESTVO) under the auspices of UNESCO and with support from the Russian Federal Space Agency (ROSCOSMOS) as part of the “Space Odyssey” international educational program.
